Sun 08-Jun
Here's mum presenting the Harry Roscow trophy to Andrew after a tea at The Wheel Inn. He was easy winner this afternoon, thrashing me and winning up to when Robert had to retire because of sore ribs.
Mon 08-Jun
On an amble into Perth this morning, just thought of Paige when I saw this tutu in the Hat in the Cat shop at Bridgend.
Tue 09-Jun
Arrived back in Huntingdon bang on time at 4.30pm to be picked up by Becky. Popped around Beth's for a chat in the evening after the kids were in bed. Here's Amelia's latest pair of shoes, all ready for her holiday next week.
Wed 11-Jun
Had Amelia to mid afternoon, Beth helping take Paige's class into town. We walked into town and spotted them by The Waits. Here's the sausage playing at Warner's Park. She must have gone back and forth in the metal tube about twenty times, me rushing back and forth to surprise her.
Thu 12-Jun
Quick pop up to the allotment before playing John golf. The poppies now in full flower and looking gorgeous. Think we've got more flowers growing than vegetables!
Fri 13-Jun
Beth spotted that Connor had included in his last year of school book this letter to my dad, and messaged it to me this morning. Sent 26 Apr 2011, just three months before dad passed away. Didn't realise he'd sent this. The picture is of my dad in a kilt with Connor.
Sat 14-June
Most of the day at Hinchingbrooke Country Park on two archaeology training courses with Connor. The morning one, 'How to Read Your Village', was fascinating. Sadly the afternoon course, 'How to Read Your Cambridgeshire Landscape', was appalling. Machine gun delivery very wearing and unintelligible, content poor, no handouts. At lunchtime we had a wander around the park picking freshwater mussels out of the lakes. Here's the budding archaeologist examining some toadstools.
