Sun 26-Jan
What a boring, boring day! Spent most of it watching the rain fall while reading. Only trip out was to get a Chinese meal for tea, hence the all time record low count of steps on the iPhone app. Only bit of amusement was when Beth dropped Amelia off for a couple of hours while they all went to the cinema.
Mon 27-Jan
Here's the view from one of our favourite eating places in Cambridge at lunchtime today... M&S restaurant, with Kings College Chapel, Great St Mary's and the market stalls spread before us. And after a walk around the shops and an amble along The Cam, managed the second all time highest steps in a day to make up for yesterday... 20,854!
Tue 28-Jan
During a couple of hours on the allotment this afternoon gave up any attempt at digging over the beds, far too damp. Just about managed to get the new rhubarb planted... Red Canadian and Victoria.
Wed 29-Jan
Another grey damp day, but a walk into St Ives with lunch at The Dolphin soon cheered things up. Delicious cheese and onion toasted granary sandwich. Here we are coming out afterwards, the sky above St Ives bridge filled with hundreds of seagulls.
Thu 30-Jan
Returned from a wander around Frost's Garden Centre at Brampton with six begonia corms. Here's two of the red ones potted up, already sprouting buds. The remaining red and three yellow corms are in the airing cupboard to encourage them to sprout too.
Fri 31-Jan
Popped into Beth's on our way back from a walk into St Ives. Amelia upstairs still on her morning sleep. Here she is moments after waking up, hair all over the place, tutu a bit crumpled, but ready for action (hence the blurred image) and in her permanent smiley mood. Little angel!
Sat 01-Feb
Here's the view from both sides of St Ives bridge as we wandered across it this afternoon on our way to tea and cake with Becky, Sammy & Izzy at The Dolphin. Looks for all the world as though St Ives is marooned.
