01-Jan to 04-Jan 2014

Wed 01-Jan
After a trawl through Waterstones' web site earlier in the week and the best part of an hour yesterday examining the four floors of their Cambridge branch, I'm back on their web site this afternoon to choose something from their extensive collection with the gift card from mum. Can spend hours making a decision.

Thu 02-Jan
Had a little visitor for three hours this afternoon while Chris, Connor & Paige went to the movies. Here she is asleep on the settee after I'd tired her out playing. Soon after she'd left I was fast asleep for forty minutes... forgot how tiring it is keeping such a titch amused.

Fri 03-Jan
That's the study windowsill ready for this year's crop of tomatoes, cucumbers, other vegetables and flowers. Such a success last year, but a bit too early to buy or plant the seeds yet. Nevertheless these trays were a real bargain from Wilkinson's at £1 each. Must get the mangrove expert in to tell me if the seed he gave me is ready for planting.

Sat 04-Jan
Heavy rain this morning. Managed to struggle out for lunch at The Dolphin. Here we are coming out after for a walk into town to go around the farmers' market. Water level rising.
