Sun 24-Nov
Christmas lights switch on in St Ives this evening. The Town Council had done a fantastic job of filling the town centre with a fair, continental stalls, a stage and lots more as well as a great fireworks display. Afterwards Linda and me went to The Dolphin for an anniversary bar meal.
Mon 25-Nov
A rare cycle up to the allotment mid afternoon to squeeze in an hour or so finalising the greenhouse. Managed to fit plastic panels to the door and wheelbarrow three loads of wood chips from way over the other side of the cemetery to level out the greenhouse floor. Was dark by the time the last load was delivered.

Extremely satisfying game of pitch & putt with David and John this afternoon, after lunch at Pidley. Considering the conditions were muddy and cold, on a summer's day I might have broken the record. Not so good at the pool afterwards, which John won and I came last.
Wed 27-Nov
Here's the up to date indoor bowls league immediately before our match against fellow team St Ives 2. Nip and tuck until we annoyed them by going slightly ahead with three at one end. They returned the favour with six at the next. Ended up losing 12-16, which means we're now only one point ahead of them. Good fun, lots of banter.
Thu 28-Nov
Hurrah! Spied the local robin giving the new bird bath it's first robin christening at lunchtime.
Fri 29-Nov
At last the greenhouse is finished, other than putting up shelves and staging and the odd bit of tidying up (to the door for example). Also got some pretty heavy patio slabs to lay in the approach area. Over the years must have wheelbarrowed several tons of wood chips on to the allotment... added a further 8 loads in the process of preparing the flooring.
Sat 30-Nov
Watched Father Christmas, his elves and snowman arrive via boat at The Quay late this morning, and after lunch at The Dolphin with Becky & Barry, a visit to his grotto was on order. Here's Sammy & Izzy compelled to pose for the camera for once.
