Sun 21-Jul
(Note... the video will go on to play more of my YouTube collection in date sequence, ad nauseum!)
Mon 22-Jul
Here's the lounger I relaxed on with a cool beer, reading my book before a snooze, late this afternoon overlooking a reed lined pond. Was more than earned since, having unpacked into our caravan earlier, we had to transfer to this one. Noticed a damp smell from the walk in wardrobe in the first caravan's main bedroom. All credit to Manor Park, they upgraded us to the best caravan we've ever had.
Tue 23-Jul
Noticed this beautiful flowering sea kale as we walked to Heacham this morning. Was even more beautiful than the massed ranks of flowering lavender covered with bees at Norfolk Lavender, where we ended up for lunch as usual.
Wed 24-Jul
Out on an evening wander along the sea front, was treated to one of Hunstanton's famous sunsets over The Wash. Only a short walk, after a day out walking around Holkham Hall's grounds and then on to Well next the Sea, a total of eight miles. At 9pm the promenade was still full of families admiring the view.
Here we are, wandering along the beach from Old Hunstanton at midday as the sun came out, collecting shells for the grandchildren to hold to their ears to hear the sea. We were trying to figure out why some of the one billion year old cliffs rocks survive on the beach longer than others. Appears they have more grit content.
Fri 26-Jul
Managed to pop down for a solo practise at bowls this evening while Coronation Street was on. Since it was the first time I'd scored myself the results were somewhat revealing. At least I had one really good end, with all four bowls within one metre of the jack. More about the scoring at Solo Practise.
Sat 27-Jul
Here's me outside The Axe & Compass at lunchtime, just before sharing a ploughman's lunch with Linda. Entertainment was provided by a bridegroom and ushers sinking a few pints before the 13:30 ceremony in the village church. The bridegroom was so enjoying his beer, when the usher said it was time to get cracking he headed off to the church, bottle of beer in hand!
