Sun 21-Oct: Jiggling about the back yard of The Legion at 22:00 to turn on the lights didn't work for some reason tonight, so I had to unlock the bike by the light of my mobile. No David tonight, he was unwell. Got thrashed 0-4 by John at snooker.

Mon 22-Oct: Finished the second coat this afternoon on the oak shelf Chris fitted recently. Really adds the finishing touch to the new kitchen, matching the kitchen units so perfectly.

Tue 23-Oct: Hooray! Apple announced the new iMac this evening at long last. And it's even more beautiful. Rushed to the Apple web site to put in my order, only to find it's tagged as 'coming soon'. Presumably some time in November. Can't wait! I want it NOW!

Wed 24-Oct: The view from the dining room window this morning. The abutilon continues to flower, right from May, enhanced by a dewy spider's web.

Thu 25-Oct: Picked up at Perth station, and later in the evening served this delicious beef bourguignon, by Robert. Later won at Tiger Wood's Golf against Robert and Andrew.

Fri 26-Oct: Revenge time for Robert when we met in the final of the weekly pool competition at Scone Bowling Club, the result going 2-0 to Robert. Here we are just before battle commenced.

Sat 27-Oct: Off to Pitlochry with Andrew and mum this morning to see dad's grave and take afternoon tea at the wonderful Atholl Palace Hotel, courtesy of Andrew. Here's the target next spring... to climb Ben Vrackie.
