Sun 20-Apr

Here's the result of a couple of hours effort nudging the back garden redesign along this morning. Dispensed with the idea of the square being a gravel garden, and with placing a bench in the middle of the back border. So only now got to do more tidying and planting and instal the pond and I'll be finished... maybe some time this summer. Also started giving the patio a clean to make it ready for the visit of a certain professional sun worshipper.

Mon 21-Apr

Walked into town this morning, and after tea and cake at The Dolphin we wandered around the Bank Holiday market that filled the town centre fit to burst. Hundreds of visitors to the town, a real buzz in the air.

Tue 22-Apr

Just settling down to a quiet afternoon snooze in the lounge when a knock came on the front door. In burst Sammy and Paige, full of buzz. All the signs of them being on a major mission. They'd walked from Becky's with a disk containing the slender man magazine they were creating. Bit deflated to learn I didn't have a disk drive on my PC. Here they are just about shoot off back to Becky's, with some images I printed off for them. Peace descended once more.

Wed 23-Apr

Dropped Connor off at Beth's this evening after football practise. Here's Amelia walking pretty confidently now, joining in the general mayhem. Paige is videoing herself disco dancing on the iMac, covering the lens every time Amelia wanders past in the background!

Thu 24-Apr

The melon seeds from Doreen are doing well on the study windowsill. Still waiting for an appearance from our experiment of the year, malabar spinach. Supposed to be a healthy vegetable to eat in summer as well as being attractive to grow.

Fri 25-Apr

Here's the VW Scirocco safe and sound in the drive, Bob and Andy having driven the eight hours from Scone for a brotherly competition filled weekend.

Sat 26-Apr

After bowls doubles with Geoff in the morning, pitch & putt with John in the afternoon and a chess game started, here's the extended family at The Dolphin for tea. After it was off to The Legion for snooker.
