Sun 11-Nov: Made up the beginnings of a rye sourdough starter, here's the result. Might look huge but there's hardly any flour or water in it. Now resting in the front room, hopefully warm enough to attract and cultivate the wild yeast from the surrounding air.
Mon 12-Nov: Seems strange that, being November and only two months since the last St Ives Flower & Produce Show, we've just finished what will be our longest meeting preparing for the 2013 Show! Spent almost three hours reviewing the suggestions for changes and the 2012 classes so the schedule can be ready for Christmas, when serious contenders consider the seeds to buy for the new season. Was given a bottle of wine and some chocolates for the effort put in to the 2012 Show... really thoughtful of the team.
Tue 13-Nov: This is what it's come to when trying to make more progress on the allotment at this time of year. A quick visit after playing David squash to check and clean out the chickens, a bit of digging and a repositioning and spacing out of the turnips. Pretty dark by the time I'd finished at 17:00... in fact pretty dark throughout the visit!
After more than a year's worth of daily images, I've suspended updating One Moment Each Day for the time being. Trying to post more text and images onto Facebook, where it's easier for friends and family to view.
