What's it all about, Alfred?

A few months ago I started archiving all my text messages as a monthly post on a blog set up especially for this. I'd always thought it such a shame whenever you changed mobile 'phones that any special texts saved on the old mobile were lost. For example, I'd lost the texts my daughters sent me when they had just given birth telling me all was well and whether the latest sausage was a boy or girl. But it really was a drag copying all those texts, in spite of a whizzy Android app to help. And then I fell way behind when I was busy with our local flower & produce show.

It was the image I snapped from when Linda & I were treated by our daughters to an afternoon tea beside the Cam in Cambridge that made me think. It was a wonderful treat, watching the punts float by while we acted like toffs scoffing neat little sandwiches and pastries. This image is of the display just before we tucked in. Why not describe each day of my life from a single image taken? That way I could capture special events as well as the day to day stuff all too easily forgotten with the passage of time. The idea was also prompted by a similar theme from one of my favourite blogs to read, Mind On Medicine.

Hope you enjoy the images and accompanying text.
